Spectrum Industrial Products/Mopit provides all replacement parts, including all major components to Mopit lease customers at no charge, the Lessee only pays the S&H on parts and supplies. The S&H charges are based on the weight, dimensions and destination of the shipment.
Under Mopit’s lease program, we do not differentiate between normal wear and tear and misuse or operator error with respect to the equipment itself. Mopit covers repair and replacement of parts and machines regardless of the cause, as part of providing a simple, low-maintenance experience for our customers. Liability is only evaluated in situations involving damage to property or injury to individuals. In those cases: If the equipment was being used as intended and in accordance with Mopit’s provided instructions and safety guidelines, Mopit would be responsible for issues related to the equipment itself (such as a defect or malfunction). If the damage or injury results from misuse, operation outside of intended use, or failure to follow provided instructions or safety guidelines, responsibility would rest with the customer. This approach allows us to eliminate any need to determine fault for equipment damage while maintaining clear and standard boundaries around safe operation and liability.
This decision is mostly up to the customer. Our tech support team is required to go through some basic over the phone troubleshooting with customers in connection with the issue the customer is facing. Once the customer goes through these troubleshooting steps the customer can choose if they want replacement parts, or a replacement half of the Mopit, or a complete replacement Mopit. All these options are provided at no cost other than the shipping and handling which the customer covers. Shipping and handling costs are the lowest on replacement parts because they are smaller and lighter than the other two options. No matter which option the customer chooses, instructional videos and over the phone, or video phone support is available to walk customers through each step.

The machine will be replaced with a refurbished machine of the same model. If a newer model is available, then the customer will have the option to sign a new lease agreement for the newer model. Upgrading to a newer model will increase the lease cost, however the new lease would continue with a month-to-month term.
Spectrum doesn’t provide any on-site service, instead we provide the soap, squeegee blades, replacement parts, and replacement machines as needed or requested. We have a large video library on our website, and YouTube that walk customers through training, troubleshooting, and the replacement of nearly every part on the Mopit.
The customer is responsible for all on-site service of the Mopit. If they don’t want to service or repair the Mopit then they can go through Mopit tech support and order a replacement half of a machine, or full replacement machine and pay the related S&H costs for the replacement.
Supplies, parts, and replacement machines are provided at no charge; however, the customer is responsible for shipping and handling fees on these items. The S&H on these items are invoiced separately. Spectrum doesn’t provide on-site service, instead we enable the customer to replace parts through our video library and phone/video tech support.
Yes, we will provide a refurbished replacement unit, the customer will only pay for the shipping and handling on the replacement unit and to return their defective machine.
Supplies, Parts, and replacement machine orders placed by 12PM MST ship the same business day via UPS. The longest transit time with UPS ground is 5 business days. Customers can request expedited shipping on all parts except those which contain the lithium battery portion of the machine. Customers should have the items needed to repair their machines within 5 business days and almost all parts can be expedited to UPS next day air service upon request at a higher shipping cost.
There is no contractual obligation to adjust lease payments if the machine is out of service. The customer is responsible for letting us know when their machine is out of service so that the tech support team can take immediate steps to get their Mopit working again.
Responsibility for any damage, injury, or safety incident is determined based on the circumstances of use. Mopit is responsible for ensuring that all equipment is designed & manufactured, to meet applicable safety standards. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the equipment is used in accordance with provided instructions, training, and within appropriate operating conditions. We provide training resources and ongoing support to help ensure safe and proper use of the equipment.
During normal business hours of 8AM-5PM MST approximately 95% of all calls are immediately answered by a live technician based in America. The remaining approximate 5% of calls/requests are responded to within 60 minutes. Limited after hours telephone tech support is also available.
Yes, customers are welcome to request to speak to a supervisor if they are unhappy with tech support. This is a very rare occurrence.
There is no cap on how often lease rates can rise. There is no cap on those increase amounts. Because our customers are not locked into the Mopit lease, (month-to-month term), we rarely raise prices on customers because they are free to cancel their lease at any time. Historically speaking, existing lease customers have experienced a rate increase about once every ten years. We do raise the lease cost for new lease customers when a new model is released or when an existing lease customer upgrades to a newer model machine.
30 days’ notice.
We don’t have any condition requirements for the machines upon termination.
We don’t distinguish between normal wear and tear and chargeable damage. You are always covered unless the machine is stolen or lost.
The lease is active until the Mopit arrives at Spectrum’s location. If you want us to send return shipping boxes upon termination then we do charge you for those, otherwise there are no additional charges beyond return shipping at the end of the lease.
Lease customers are never charged extra due to their Mopit’s condition, unless it is stolen or lost. Billing questions can be answered by calling 1-800-290-2833 or by email.
We recommend our Mopit floor cleaner pouches that are premeasured for 1 full tank. You can also use most other low-foaming chemical that has a neutral pH level of around 6–8.
We recommend every 4–6 weeks with regular use.
We recommend replacing the brush once a year with regular use.
We recommend replacing the white squeegee wheels every 6–12 months or as needed.
We recommend cleaning these filters at least once a month.
We recommend replacing the idle bearing hub once a year.
Replace as needed. When they need to be replaced they will make a squeaking sound or loud metallic noise down by the brush.
